On certain aerial devices, a hydraulic hose may have been incorrectly installed between the cylinder port and load-holding valve instead of metal tubing. If the hose gets damaged, the platform or load could move suddenly.
Uncontrolled movement of the platform or load could increase the risk of injury to the operator and people nearby.
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to inspect if a hydraulic hose is installed, and replace it with metal tubing as required.
On certain aerial devices, the platform levelling yoke could fail. If this occurs, the occupant could fall from the platform, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Owners or Altec Service Centers will have to inspect the levelling system to verify proper yoke alignment and replace improperly aligned yokes as necessary.
