Over time, this failure may cause cracks that will result in undesirable movement of the steering gear mounted to the bracket. This situation may affect steering control, which may result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering gear mounting bracket with an updated version.

On certain vehicles, a leak in one or both Quick Release Valves (QRV) could occur. The first QRV is located in the lift axle air lines. A leak in that QRV would affect the rate at which the tag/pusher axle is lowered/lifted. A catastrophic failure of the QRV would result in a rapid drop of a raised tag axle, which could cause serious injury or death to a person working under or near the axle. The second QRV is in the park brake air lines. A leak would release pressure on the park brake springs; if the leak is large enough, the pressure would drop and set the brakes on the rear axle, which could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash, causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the quick release valves.
