NOTE: THERE ARE TWO DEFECTS IN THIS RECALL INVOLVING TWO COMPONENTS. FIRST, THE ADJUSTABLE HANDLEBARS MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO CRACKING IN THE HANDLEBAR STUB. THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT THIS CRACKING COULD RESULT IN BREAKAGE. SECOND, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE NUT THAT SECURES THE BALL JOINT TO THE TELELEVER SUSPENSION ARM COULD LOOSEN. THIS COULD CAUSE THE MOTORCYCLE'S DYNAMIC STABILITY TO BE IMPAIRED. CORRECTION: THE LEFT AND RIGHT HANDLEBAR AND RELATED PARTS WILL BE REPLACED AND THE BALL JOINT NUT WILL BE REPLACED AND SECURED WITH LOCTITE.

On certain motorcycles, the positive battery connector could contact the battery support and result in a short circuit. On vehicles with ABS, electrical current could be conducted over the front brake lines to the frame, thereby increasing brake line temperature and impairing front brake performance. In extreme cases, the current could melt a hold in an empty or low fuel tank. In the worst case, fuel leakage and/or fire could result. Correction: DPositive battery terminal extension will be removed and the positive cable will be attached directly to the battery with a bolt.
