2021 Coachmen Nova Recall

On certain motorhomes, the housing for the retractable awning's gearbox motor could crack. As a result, the awning could extend on its own while driving.

An awning that extends while driving could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to add additional support to the housing for the retractable awning's gearbox motor.

On certain motorhomes, the transmission parking pawl may not fully engage when you shift to park. If this happens, and the parking brake isn't used, the vehicle could roll away.

A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash.

Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a RAM dealership to update the powertrain control module (PCM) calibration software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the transmission or parts inside the transmission. To reduce the safety risk, FCA Canada recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park.

On certain motorhomes, a fuel hose on the generator may not be properly secured and could leak fuel. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with an Onan QG 2800i generator.

A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.

Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel hose between the generator fuel filter and injection pump module. The fuel hose and clamps will be replaced, if necessary. To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises that you should not use the generator until the recall inspection is completed.
