2018 Fleetwood Rv Pace Arrow Recall

On certain motorhomes, the front overhead cabinet under the drop-down bed may not be properly attached. As a result, the cabinet could detach and fall on the driver and/or passenger. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes with an optional Happijac drop-down bed.

A cabinet that detaches and falls could create a risk of injury. Additionally, a cabinet that falls while driving could create a distraction and/or affect a driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

To reduce the safety risk, REV Group advises you to remove all contents from the front overhead cabinet and to inspect that the cabinet isn't starting to detach until the recall repairs are completed. REV Group will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to reinstall the front overhead cabinet with additional hardware.

Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This recall replaces FL-856 (Transport Canada recall 2020-337). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

Brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash.

REV Group will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

On certain motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may get damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail. Note: This recall replaces FL-861 (Transport Canada recall 2020-493). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

REV Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) authorized service facility to remove the inner valve stem extensions.

The inner valve stems will be replaced, if required.

Authorized dealerships will inspect the vehicle and complete all necessary repairs free of charge (parts and labor).

Certain motorhomes built on a Freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2018-615. Vehicles that had an inspection, but did not have the PDM replaced under the previous recall, require a second repair under this recall.

REV Recreation Group will notify owners by mail and provide a letter from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). This letter will instruct owners to take their motorhome to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the PDM.

On certain vehicles built on a Freightliner chassis, the rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have a manufacturing defect that could cause intermittent functioning of the rear marker, brake lights or left turn signal. Without brake lights, a following motorist may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Daimler Trucks North American (DTNA) will inspect and repair the PDM as necessary.

A failure of this component (lights and instruments) may increase the risk of a crash or injury.

On certain motorhomes, the satellite dish was not properly secured to the roof and may come loose or detach. If the satellite dish were to detach from the roof, it could create a road hazard and could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and secure the satellite dish to the roof with metal reinforcement brackets and rivets as necessary.

A failure of this component (accessories) may increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Authorized dealerships will inspect the vehicle and complete all necessary repairs free of charge (parts and labor).

On certain motorhomes, the wiring for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system could become disconnected. If the wiring for the HVAC system's potentiometer were to become disconnected, there is a risk that the wiring may be reconnected improperly, which could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the HVAC controller’s existing potentiometer, and either solder the wires or replace the control panel, as necessary. Note: Owners are advised that if the HVAC control panel becomes inoperable for any reason, to not use it or attempt any repairs. It must be inspected and if necessary, repaired or replaced by a certified REV Recreation Group dealer technician.
