On certain vehicles, the second-row outboard seat belt anchor bolt(s) may be loose or missing. As a result, the seat belt(s) could detach in a crash.

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, install, tighten or replace seat belt anchor bolt(s).
On certain vehicles, the bolts securing the seat belt buckles may not have been properly tightened. Additionally, the second-row center seat belt anchor bolt and/or retractor bolt may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the seat belts could loosen or detach in a crash.
A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the seat belt buckle bolts and the second-row center seat belt and retractor bolts. If any bolts are loose, the dealer will replace the affected part(s).
On certain vehicles, the connecting rod bearings may wear and cause the engine to fail. Note: This recall only affects certain police vehicles equipped with a 3.3L gas or hybrid engine.
An engine failure could cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels and/or increase the risk of a vehicle fire. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Ford will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. To reduce the safety risk, Ford recommends that you should shut off the engine as soon as possible if you hear unusual engine noises, see smoke from the engine compartment or notice reduced engine power.

A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the subframe bushing and rear axle bolt. The dealer will also inspect the rear axle cover, and replace it as necessary.
On a small number of vehicles, the integrated computer screen (ICS) may not automatically turn on when the transmission is shifted to reverse. As a result, the rearview camera image may not appear when backing up. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 12.1" integrated computer screen (ICS).
A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the integrated computer screen software.
On certain vehicles, a mounting bolt for the rear axle housing could break. If this happens, the axle housing can move and cause clunking or banging noises and vibrations from the rear of the vehicle. It could also cause the driveshaft and axle shafts to disconnect. This would result in a loss of power to the rear wheels and the vehicle could move when the transmission is in Park, if the parking brake is not used.
A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail. For Police Interceptor Utility models, you will be instructed to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace a bushing and the rear axle housing cover. For all other models, you will be instructed to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the engine control module (PCM) software to set the parking brake when the transmission is in the Park position.
On a small number of vehicles, the windshield washer fluid reservoir may have been filled with washer fluid that was contaminated with brake fluid. This could reduce the driver's ability to clear the windshield and cause damage to the wiper/washer system.
A windshield that is not properly cleared could block a driver's view. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to flush out the washer system and replace the washer bottle neck, washer pump assembly, fluid level sensor as well as the front and rear wiper blades. The dealer will also inspect and repair paint and exterior components, if necessary.
