On certain vehicles, the engine block heater could leak coolant. If this happens, the block heater could short circuit when it's plugged in. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-554. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair.

To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to use the engine block heater until the recall repairs have been completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the block heater. Alternatively, owners can choose to have the dealership permanently disable the engine block heater.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing.

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the SYNC software.
On certain trucks, the driver and/or front passenger seat belts may not be properly routed through the anchor eyelets. As a result, the seat belts may not work as designed in a crash. Note: This recall only affects SuperCab body style trucks.
A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for inspecting the driver and front passenger seat belts before using either seat. Depending on the results, Ford advises that you should take the following steps: 1. If the seat belts pass the inspection, you should schedule an appointment and take your truck to a dealer to inspect and replace the seat belt retractor and pretensioner assemblies, as necessary. 2. If the driver's seat belt does not pass the self-inspection, or you are uncertain of the results of your inspection, you should not drive your truck and contact your dealer to make arrangements to have it towed for an inspection. 3. If the front passenger's seat belt does not pass the self-inspection, do not use that seat unit the seat belt has been inspected by a dealer.
A defective blower motor may have been installed on some trucks that were repaired under recall 2019-512 (Ford recall 19S34). The replacement motor may have been built incorrectly and could short circuit. As a result, a second repair may be required.

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to inspect the blower motor. It will be replaced if it was made during an identified time period.
On certain trucks, a connector for the tail lights may not be properly connected. This could cause intermittent or total loss of the tail lights, including the stop, turn, rear position, and reverse lights. Note: This problem can cause the turn signal indicators to flash quickly or intermittently. Additionally, the following messages may appear on the instrument display: “Trailer not connected” or “Parking Aid Malfunction”.
A loss of tail lights could reduce the vehicle’s visibility. This could cause a following driver not to see that a vehicle is braking, reversing or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect underbody inline connection of the tail lights. It will be repaired as necessary.
On certain vehicles, the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) blower motor may have been built incorrectly. This could result in a short circuit.

On certain Ranger SuperCab models, the front-passenger seat belt may not be assembled correctly.
An improperly assembled seat belt may not properly restrain a passenger in a crash. This could increase the risk of injury.
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the front-passenger seat belt. It will be replaced if necessary.
On certain trucks, the transmission shift cable bracket may detach. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears when the shifter is moved. As a result, the transmission could be in a different gear than the gear shifter indicates. If a driver attempts to exit the truck while the transmission is not in Park, and the parking brake is not applied, the truck could move suddenly.
Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of a crash.
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the transmission shift cable bracket bolts. The bolts will be tightened as necessary and the technician will ensure the shifter operates properly.
On certain trucks, the transmission shifter may not lock in the park position. This can allow the shifter to be moved without an ignition key and without depressing the brake pedal. This could result in unintended vehicle movement.
Unintended vehicle movement could increase the risk of injury and/or a crash.
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their truck to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to check if the shifter is working properly. If a problem is found, the shifter will be repaired.
