On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall.
A step that detaches could create a risk of injury.
Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.
On one RV trailer, the anti-siphon vent may not have been installed properly. As a result, gas from the waste water tank could enter the RV. This could also cause the holding tanks not to drain and/or fill properly.
Sewer gas that enters the RV could increase the risk of injury.
Forest River will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their trailer to a dealership to replace the anti-siphon vent.
