This would result in the engine and vehicle continuing at their same respective speeds until a change in load occurs (i.e. terrain, brakes or clutch) and could reduce engine braking with a subsequent increase in stopping distances and the risk of a crash. Correction: The rack servo cylinder assembly will be replaced on affected engines.

ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ROCKWELL TANDEM DRIVE AXLES AND OUTBOARD MOUNTED BRAKE DRUMS, THE NUTS THAT RETAIN THE WHEEL HUBS ON THE DRIVE AXLES MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TORQUED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE DURING ASSEMBLY. THIS COULD RESULT IN LEFT REAR WHEEL SEPARATION AND A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT. CORRECTION: THE LEFT SIDE DRIVE AXLE SPINDLE JAM NUTS ON BOTH FORWARD AND REAR DRIVE AXLES ARE TO BE TORQUED TO PROPER SPECIFICATION. IF THE WHEEL HUB NUTS ARE FOUND TO BE LOOSE THEY ARE TO BE REPLACED.

THE REAR SUSPENSION TOP TORQUE RODS ARE MANUFACTURED BY WELDING TWO ANGLED TUBES TOGETHER. THESE WELDS MAY FAIL DUE TO INADEQUATE PENETRATION CAUSING THE TORQUE ROD TO FAIL WITHOUT WARNING AND ALLOWING THE REAR AXLE(S) TO MOVE OUT OF POSITION RESULTING IN VEHICLE INSTABILITY AND LOSS OF CONTROL. CORRECTION: WELDED TOP TORQUE RODS WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE PIECE TYPE.
