Under operating conditions involving excessive engine spped, the turbocharger could overspeed and cause the compressor wheel to disintegrate. If this were to occur, the compressor housing might not contain teh disintegrating pieces. Flying pieces of debris could cause injuries to people in or nearby the vehicle.
