This condition could cause the stop lamp switch and the brake booster push rod to disconnect from the brake pedal, resulting in loss of brake operation and a possible vehicle crash. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected to ensure the brake pedal retainer is secure and fully seated in the groove and can be rotated a full 360 degrees in both directions.
