On certain motorcycles, the mounting bracket for the rear shock absorber adjuster could break. If this happens, the shock absorber adjuster could move and damage the rear tire. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and a tire failure. Note: Motorcycles that were repaired under recall 0181 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-473) also require this repair.

This recall is for rear shock absorber kits that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain motorcycles, the mounting bracket for the rear shock absorber adjuster could break. If this happens, the shock absorber adjuster could move and damage the rear tire. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and a tire failure. Note: Motorcycles that were repaired under recall 0182 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-475) also require this repair. This recall affects the following parts: • profile low rear suspension, part number 54000134 • tall rear shock, part number 54000294

If you have purchased one of these accessory parts, you can contact Harley-Davidson or a local dealer to determine if your shock absorber kit is affected by this recall.
On certain motorcycles, the brake lines for the front brake may not have been routed correctly. As a result, the brake lines could become damaged by contact with the fuel tank. If this happens, brake fluid could leak and cause reduced braking.
Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the brake lines and fuel tank. They will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.
