On certain travel trailers, the refrigerator roof vent holes may be missing. As a result, the refrigerator could overheat, and carbon monoxide or unburned propane gas could build up inside the trailer.
A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. Additionally, a buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
Heartland RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the refrigerator roof vents. New vent holes and a roof vent will be installed, if required.
On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) lines on the outdoor cooktop may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the connection could leak propane gas.
A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion.
Heartland RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to inspect and tighten the propane (LP) connection to the outside cooktop, as necessary. The dealer will also perform a leak test. To reduce the safety risk, Heartland recommends that you should not use the outside cooktop until the recall repairs have been completed.
On certain RV trailers, the propane (LP) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with a Winntec model 6020 propane regulator.
Unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire.
