On certain trucks, the fuel gauge float inside the fuel tank could detach. If this happens, the fuel gauge would not display the correct fuel level. As a result, the driver may be unaware of how much fuel is in the tank, and the vehicle could run out of fuel and stall. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a 265 L or 340 L fuel tank.

Hino will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to install an extension bracket on the negative battery terminal. Dealers will also inspect the ground cable terminal for damage. If damage is found, the cable will be replaced.
