On certain buses, the formed heater hose going to the driver’s heater could rupture allowing hot coolant to leak into the operators foot area. If hot coolant were to come in contact with the operator, it could result in a burn injury and, depending on the driver’s reaction, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the formed heater hose.

On certain buses equipped with a MaxxForce 7 engine, the positive alternator cable may rub against the engine control module mounting bracket. Continued contact could wear through the alternator cable's insulation, which could cause an electrical short circuit. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the alternator cable for signs of abrasion damage and install tie straps to route the cable away from the engine control module mounting bracket.
