A QUANTITY OF CAM BRAKE ANCHOR PINS WAS FOUND TO BE PROCESSED (HARDENED) INCORRECTLY. IF CAM BRAKES WERE TO BE ASSEMBLED USING THE IMPROPERLY PROCESSED ANCHOR PINS, A FRACTURE OF THE ANCHOR PIN COULD OCCUR DURING BRAKE APPLICATION, CAUSING LOSS OF PROPER TENSION OF THE BRAKE SHOES AND ATTENDANT REDUCTION IN THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THAT BRAKE.
