This could cause wear of the interconnecting splines of the arm and shaft, possibly allowing the pitman arm to slip over the shaft, resulting in a reduction of steering control which could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the tubular shaped spacer bracket with a solid spacer block.
