On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Jaguar dealer during Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-302, 2023-564 and 2024-073 may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts.
A battery that overheats can create a fire risk.
To reduce the safety risk, Jaguar recommends that you charge and park your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. As an interim repair, a dealer will update the vehicle software to limit the maximum charge setting at 90% until the recall repairs are available. Once the final repair is available, Jaguar will notify you by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
On certain vehicles, the turn signal telltale may flash at the same speed when a turn signal bulb fails. As a result, you may not notice when a turn signal bulb is not working.
A turn signal telltale that doesn't work properly could cause you to be unaware when a turn signal bulb fails. Additionally, turn signals that do not work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Jaguar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
On certain vehicles, the high-voltage coolant heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Note: This recall only affects vehicles without a heated windshield.
A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Jaguar will notify owners by mail and provide a software update for the battery energy control module. Jaguar recommends parking your vehicle outside and away from other vehicles or buildings until the recall repairs are completed. For 2021 and newer vehicles, Jaguar send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. For 2019 and 2020 models, Jaguar will instruct you to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer. This software will monitor the high-voltage battery and warn you if it detects a problem. If this happens, the software will reduce the charging capacity to 75% and direct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery module and/or pack.
