On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain motorhomes and fifth wheel trailers, an incorrect electrical connection at the transfer switch buss bar could cause the transfer switch to overheat and melt. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the transfer switch.

On certain fifth wheel trailers, the isolating rubber boot, located atop electrical connectors within the towing harness, may not have been installed correctly during vehicle assembly. As such, depending which connector becomes exposed and shorts to ground, 1). An electrical short could occur, which could result in a vehicle fire, 2). Loss of driving lights may result in the driver's intentions to turn or brake not being conveyed clearly to other road users, as well as making the vehicle less conspicuous during hours of reduced visibility, 3). Loss of trailer braking function, which could extend stopping distances. All these conditions could result in property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect the rubber caps, and correct as needed.
