On certain RV trailers, the circuit board for the LED light rings on the cooktop knobs could fail. As a result, the wiring and/or LED lights could overheat and melt. Note: This recall only affects RV trailers equipped with certain Suburban cooktops.
Wiring and/or lights that overheat and melt can create the risk of a fire.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to disable or remove the LED light rings. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should disconnect the power for your trailer when it's not used and not to use the cooktop until the recall repairs are completed.
On certain RV trailers, the fuel station controller could fail. If this happens, the fuel station may not work or the controller could catch fire.
The fuel station controller could fail and catch fire.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect the circuit protection for the fuel station controller. The dealer will install a 15 A fuse if the circuit is on an auto-reset circuit breaker, and seal the back of the controller by installing a plastic box around it. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should check to ensure that a 15 A fuse is installed on the fuel station controller circuit, or unplug the controller until the recall repairs have been completed.
On certain RV trailers, the foot pad for the hydraulic leveling jack may become loose and detach from the vehicle while towing.
A foot pad that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealer to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the leveling jack foot pad.
On certain RV trailers, the wire connections for the shore power inlet may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connections could loosen and cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks).
A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to tighten the wire connections for the shore power inlet. If the connections can't be tightened, the shore power inlet will be replaced.
On certain RV trailers, the wiring for the solar controller may not have been installed correctly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the 12 V DC electrical system not to work properly (including the carbon monoxide and propane gas detector). If this happens, you would not be alerted if there was a buildup of propane gas and/or carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Note: This recall affects trailers with a SolarFlex 200 or 400i system.
A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. A buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and give you directions for how to use the VictronConnect app to check the battery voltage. This can help you ensure that the wiring for the solar controller is connected correctly. If it is not, they will ask you to bring your trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring. If the VictronConnect app shows that the battery voltage is over 14.4 V, you should disconnect the battery from the solar power and take the trailer to a dealer for service.
