On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the Milestar ST225/75D15D M633 tires may exhibit symptoms of a defect such as; exterior sidewall and tread cracking, excessive tread wear, tread separation and blowouts. Tire failure could adversely affect vehicle handling, potentially causing a crash with property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Owners will be provided with a letter detailing these concerns, and how to determine if they possess the tires in question. Suspect tires are marked with a DOT number that begins with 5YHH TC1. Once confirmed, the tire should be inspected for defects and, if required, replaced forthwith. On certain travel trailers, the suspension hardware may have received inadequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. As a result, the bolts could come off while the vehicle is underway, causing poor vehicle handling and an increased risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will torque the shackle bolts to specifications.

On certain travel trailers, the Federal Identification Tag and the Tire & Loading Information Label do not contain the correct Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). The labels incorrectly indicate a GVWR of 7600 lbs instead of 8200 lbs and GAWR of 3500 lbs instead of 4400 lbs. Also, the labels indicate tire size 205/75D14C with a maximum inflation pressure of 50 psi instead of 225/75D15D with a maximum pressure of 65 psi. Under inflating a tire could lead to increased risk of tire failure, which could result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install updated labels.
