On certain travel trailers, windows which are identified as emergency exits may not be designed for this purpose, or may be blocked by rear roof access ladders. This could prevent egress from the vehicle in an emergency situation, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: On Mountaineer models, a different style window will be installed if the existing window is blocked by the ladder. On the Montana models, owners will be given instructions on how to inspect windows. Depending on the availability of alternate exits, labels may be removed, or exit windows replaced.
