On certain RV trailers, the fuel station controller could fail. If this happens, the fuel station may not work or the controller could catch fire.
The fuel station controller could fail and catch fire.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect the circuit protection for the fuel station controller. The dealer will install a 15 A fuse if the circuit is on an auto-reset circuit breaker, and seal the back of the controller by installing a plastic box around it. To reduce the safety risk, Keystone recommends that you should check to ensure that a 15 A fuse is installed on the fuel station controller circuit, or unplug the controller until the recall repairs have been completed.
On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer.
An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.
On certain RV trailers, the wiring for the solar controller may not have been installed correctly. Under certain conditions, this could cause the 12 V DC electrical system not to work properly (including the carbon monoxide and propane gas detector). If this happens, you would not be alerted if there was a buildup of propane gas and/or carbon monoxide inside the trailer. Note: This recall affects trailers with a SolarFlex 200 or 400i system.
A buildup of propane gas inside the trailer could create the risk of an explosion or fire. A buildup of carbon monoxide could result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
Keystone will notify owners by mail and give you directions for how to use the VictronConnect app to check the battery voltage. This can help you ensure that the wiring for the solar controller is connected correctly. If it is not, they will ask you to bring your trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring. If the VictronConnect app shows that the battery voltage is over 14.4 V, you should disconnect the battery from the solar power and take the trailer to a dealer for service.
Certain RV trailers were built with tires that may have a defect. As a result, the tire tread and belts could separate. If this happens, the tire could fail and suddenly lose air pressure. Note: This recall only affects trailers equipped with certain ST235/80R16 G tires. The tires are marked with plant code 1YJ, and within the date code range of 2020 - 4120. If you have tires with a different date code, please also see Transport Canada recall 2021-729.
A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Keystone will notify owners by mail to advise you of this problem. You should contact an authorized Sailun Tire dealer if you have tires manufactured within these date ranges or if you need help inspecting them. All tires affected by this recall will be replaced.
