On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Kia dealer during service campaign RC207 (Transport Canada recall number 2024-323) may not have been done correctly and/or may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. Under certain conditions, the switch for the driver- and/or passenger-front power seat motor(s) could become stuck and cause the seat motor(s) not to stop. If this happens, the motor(s) could overheat. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-323. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
A seat motor that overheats can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.
To reduce the safety risk, Kia advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. Kia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an electronic fuse for the power seats.
On certain vehicles, the compliance label may be missing information in French. The words listed on the label for "Tires", "Rims", "Front" and "Rear" appear in English only, when they should be listed as "Tires/Pneus", "Rims/Jantes", "Front/Avant" and "Rear/Arriere". Canadian regulations require this information to be listed on the label in both English and French.
These small errors do not affect vehicle safety.

On certain vehicles, the axle shaft(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the axle shaft(s) splines could become damaged. If this happens, the vehicle could move when it's parked and the parking brake isn't applied.
A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash.
Kia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the electronic parking brake software. To reduce the safety risk, Kia recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park.
Certain vehicles may be equipped with a 4-pin accessory trailer wiring harness kit that could fail. Over time, this could result in a short circuit that can cause the control module to overheat. Note: This recall only affects Kia Genuine 4-pin tow hitch wiring harness kits with the part number S9F67AC000. These kits may have been ordered at the time of a vehicle purchase, or purchased separately from a dealer as an aftermarket accessory.

Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to inspect if your vehicle has a trailer wiring harness installed. If it does, Kia advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors, and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. As an interim repair, Kia will advise you to make an appointment at your local dealership to replace the 30 A "TRAILER" fuse with a 15 A fuse.
While towing a trailer, the trailer brake lights do not turn on when the Smart Cruise Control (SCC) slows the vehicle. Note: The vehicle's brake lights continue to function normally.
Brake lights that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install an additional wire harness to the main fuse box.
On certain vehicles, the seat belts for the driver, front passenger, second and/or third row seats may be incorrect. Canadian regulations require automatic-locking retractors (ALR) are to be installed on forward facing front passenger, second and/or third row seats.
A non-ALR seat belt would not tightly secure a child seat. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the seat belt assemblies. If the seat belts are incorrect, they will be replaced with correct ones.
On certain vehicles, the compliance label contains small errors in the rim size and the units for tire inflation pressure. Canadian regulations require companies to provide this information on the compliance label.
These small errors are unlikely to affect safety.
