On certain trucks, the front turn signals may not be visible from certain angles. As a result, the trucks don't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations.
Turn signals that aren't visible from certain angles may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install additional front turn signals.
On certain trucks, some controls are not identified with the required symbol(s) or word(s). Specifically, the identifications for the HVAC fan control, the position side marker light control, the master lighting switch control and the turn signal control may be missing or mislabeled. Canadian regulations require the use of certain symbols and words for controls. This can help to avoid driver confusion.
These small errors do not affect safety or the function of the controls.
