On certain trucks, the fuse for the methane detection system may not have been installed during production. As a result, the methane detector may not work. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a natural gas engine.

Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install the methane detection system fuse.
On certain trucks, the engine may not return to idle if the accelerator pedal position sensor becomes disconnected. As a result, the trucks don't meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
An engine that doesn't return to idle could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

On a small number of trucks equipped with a Cummins L9N natural gas engine, when the engine is lifted, the rear lifting bracket attached to the cylinder head could detach. If this happens, the engine could swing or fall.
An engine that swings or falls could create a risk of injury.
Cummins will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the studs on the rear lifting bracket.
