On certain motorhomes equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain vehicles, a defect in the tag axle could cause the wheel bearings to overheat, potentially resulting in wheel bearing failure. Bearing overheating could be detected through the illumination of the ABS warning light, or melting and/or deformation of the axle bearing cover. Wheel bearing failure could affect vehicle handling, increasingthe risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect wheel bearings and adjust/replace as necessary.

On certain motorhomes, the refrigerator heated water line circuit breaker may have the wrong size amperage rating and the 12 volt thermostat and 12 volt heated water line could also be wired incorrectly, causing it to have the incorrect wiring or no power. The incorrect circuit breaker amperage rating could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will check circuit breaker amperage and correct any wiring issues for thermostat and/or heated water line.

Certain refrigerators used in Recreational Vehicles (RVs) contain either a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch to interrupt power when it detects high temperatures that could lead to a fire. An insufficient response time can result in the power not being shut-off in sufficient time to prevent a fire, which could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a thermocouple with a faster response time for all refrigerators with a sensing algorithm or a thermal switch.

On certain motorhomes and fifth wheel trailers equipped with a Dometic Corporation refrigerator, a fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube. This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary burner housing.

On certain vehicles equipped with Workhorse Custom Chassis, an incorrect steering intermediate shaft may have been installed. The incorrect part has a finer pitch spline. Use of the incorrect part may cause the spline not to match correctly with the steering gear input shaft. This could cause the spline to strip if the steering wheel is turned with a significant amount of force. This failure is likely only to occur when the vehicle is stopped or during tight turning manoeuvres at very low speeds. This condition may result in a loss of steering control. Correction: Dealers will replace the shaft.
