On a small number of motorhomes, the tire valve stem extensions for the inner wheels may become damaged by contact with the outer wheels. If this happens, the inner tire could lose air pressure. This could overload the outer tire and cause it to fail.
A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Newmar will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to remove the inner valve stem extensions. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the inner valve stem extensions removed at a Newmar dealership.
On certain motorhomes, the seat belt anchor bracket for the dinette seats may not be strong enough. As a result, the seat belt could loosen or detach in a crash.
A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to an authorized service facility to replace the seat belt bracket for the dinette seats, and install additional fasteners. Newmar recommends not to use the dinette seats during transit until the recall repairs are completed.
On a small number of motorhomes, the compliance label lists the incorrect rear tire size. As a result, when the tires are replaced, the wrong tires could be installed. This could lead to poor handling and/or a tire failure.
Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Newmar will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact an authorized Newmar service facility to have it installed, free of charge.
