On certain electric trucks, the contactors for the high-voltage power system could open. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels.

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software and replace a wiring harness.

On certain trucks, the wiring in the right-hand shift stalk may not be properly connected. As a result, you may not be able to shift the transmission back into gear after coming to a stop.

On certain trucks that have the air tank mounted behind the fuel tank, the U-bolts that attach the air tank to the side of the frame may be too long. As a result, a bolt could damage the fuel tank and create a fuel leak.

PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the clearance of the U-bolts that attach the air tank to the side of the frame. If the bolts are too long, the dealer will cut off the excess length. If the fuel tank has damage from contacting a bolt, it will be replaced.

On certain trucks, the alternator positive cable could be damaged by contact with a fastener for the left-front spring bracket. If this happens, the cable could create a short circuit. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with an MX-13 engine and a 160-A alternator.

PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your truck to a dealership to replace and relocate a fastener for the left-front spring bracket, and ensure the alternator cable is secured properly.

On certain trucks, the pivot joint for the molded hood mirrors may fail. If this happens, the upper half of a mirror could detach and fall from the truck, if it was not built with a wire harness or tether.

On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster display to freeze while driving. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, warnings, and malfunction tell-tale graphics.

On certain trucks, a problem in the engine control module (ECM) could cause a short circuit. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it.

On certain trucks, the steering gear may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, the steering gear could break and cause a loss of steering.
