On certain side-by-side UTVs, the exterior door handles could stick open and cause the door(s) to open unexpectedly while driving. Note: This recall only affects NorthStar Premium and Ultimate edition models.
A door that opens suddenly while driving could create a risk of injury and/or increase the risk of a crash.
To reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises that you should inspect the outer door handles before driving until the recall repairs are completed. In addition, owners should follow the Safety - Owner Requirement section of the owner's manual. Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your UTV to a dealership to replace the door actuators and to ensure the door handles work correctly.
This recall is for winches installed on new side-by-side UTVs or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain side-by-side UTVs, the ground connection for the winch may not have been tightened properly. As a result, when the winch is used, the ground connection could overheat and melt. Note: This recall affects winch kit nos. 2889275 and 2889276.
A ground connection that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire.
To reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises that you should not use the winch until the recall repairs are completed. Polaris will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to secure the ground connection.
