On certain ATVs, the Electronic Control Module (ECM) could fail and overheat. If this were to occur, the excessive heat could cause a fire, possibly resulting in property damage and/or severe personal injury or death. Owners are advised to stop riding their ATV's and to disconnect the battery cables until repairs have been completed. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the ECM. As well, affected ECMs, installed by dealers to correct servicing issues, will also need replacing. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2005126.

On certain ATVs equipped with a winch by Warn Industries, Inc., a defective contactor could cause the winch assembly to ignite while the vehicle is parked and the winch is not in use. A fire could result in injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the 8-post contactor assembly.

Correction: Polaris will publish a Notice of Defect for a period of 5 consecutive days in two major daily newspapers in the following regions: Atlantic provinces, Ontario, Quebec, The Prairie provinces, BC, and the Territories.
