2021 Porsche Taycan Recall

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear.

Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the center screen and touch control panel to appear blank, or the real-top-view image to flicker when the vehicle is started. On certain vehicles, the wiring harness for the centre-rear seat belt buckle could interfere with the lower universal anchorage system (UAS) for securing a child seat. As a result, you may not be able to properly attach a child seat in the right-rear seat using the UAS.

A child seat that isn't properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wiring harness for the centre-rear seat belt buckle. The wiring will be re-routed and secured, as necessary.

Under certain conditions, the pre-collision system may automatically switch on the hazard warning lights in a non-emergency situation.

Hazard warning lights that switch on in a non-emergency situation may confuse other drivers, and could increase the risk of a crash.

On certain vehicles, the passenger seat belt assemblies may contain defective automatic locking retractors (ALR). As a result, the seat belts may not properly lock to secure a child seat.

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the seat belts. They will be replaced, if necessary.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a sudden loss of drive power. If this happens, a warning message "Motor control error Stop vehicle in a safe place" will appear on the vehicle display. You can restart the vehicle by pushing the On/Off button.
