On certain snowmobiles, a software error causes the speedometer to show a vehicle speed that is half (50 %) of the true speed. Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles with either a 600 ACE or 900 ACE engine.
A speedometer that shows only half of the vehicle speed could lead you to drive too fast. This could increase the risk of a crash.
BRP will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your snowmobile to a dealer to update the engine control module (ECM).
Under certain riding conditions, the muffler could overheat. If this happens, the upper right-hand vent grill could melt and drip plastic onto the exhaust. Note: This recall only affects certain snowmobiles with a 600 EFI engine.
