On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain vehicles, the adjustable brake pedal arm may loosen, rotate around its shaft, and swing in front of the accelerator pedal. Should the brake pedal arm contact and engage the accelerator pedal, it could result in extended stopping distances and a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install a C-clamp assembly to the brake pedal arm.

On certain motorhomes, the transverse beam weld on the suspension may be improperly located therefore allowing the transverse beam to separate from suspension casting. If the welds fail, vehicle stability could be affected resulting in a loss of vehicle control which could lead to a crash and cause personal injuries or death. In addition, the transverse beam could drop to the ground causing sparks and create a fire hazard. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the transverse beam assembly.

On certain motorhomes, the steering gear may have been assembled with an incorrect recirculating ball spacer which could allow the recirculating balls to escape from the ball circuit, resulting in a loss of steering. The operator may notice higher required steering wheel inputs, or the need for more steering wheel adjustments while driving in a straight line in combination with metallic cracking noises prior to a loss of steering. Loss of steering control could result in a vehicle crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the steering gear assembly.
