As a result, another repair is required. On certain trucks, a software problem may not detect corrosion to the brake modulator valves. As a result, the brakes on one wheel could fully apply during automatic braking. If this happens, there could be a brake pull that can cause the truck to change direction. Note: This problem doesn't affect the service brakes.

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the brake modulator valves. The service facility will also update the vehicle software.
On certain trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) dealer during recall F1020 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-269) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain trucks, the stud on the frame that connects the battery and/or auxiliary power distribution to the starter may not have been installed properly. As a result, there could be a short circuit, and the wiring could overheat and melt. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-269. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to remove the stud and relocate the jump start connection.
On certain trucks, the fasteners for the axle clamp(s) may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the clamps could loosen. If this happens, the axle could move and cause a loss of steering control. Note: This recall only affects certain trucks equipped with a TufTrac Gen 2 suspension.
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and tighten the axle clamp fasteners. The axle clamp castings will be replaced, as necessary.

On certain trucks, the spline teeth in the windshield wiper arm(s) could wear and break. If this happens, the windshield wipers may not work properly.

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the windshield wiper arm(s) and linkage parts.
On certain trucks, the stainless steel cover for the side air-intake on the hood may not be properly attached. As a result, the intake cover could detach from the truck while driving.
An air-intake cover that detaches from the truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people, and could increase the risk of a crash.
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the side air-intake cover on the hood.
On certain trucks, the fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors may crack and create a fuel leak. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a Cummins X12 diesel engines.
A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.
Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to replace the fuel tubes for cylinders 4, 5 and 6 and install vibration isolators.
On certain trucks, the steering shaft may not have been properly installed on the steering gear. As a result, the shaft could separate from the steering gear and cause a loss of steering.
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the steering shaft and ensure that it is installed correctly. It will be repaired, if necessary.
On certain trucks built with aluminum battery cables, the terminal that attaches the battery cable to the frame may break. If this happens, there could be a loss of electrical power and the engine could shut off suddenly.
A loss of power while driving could increase the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the battery cables for corrosion and/or damage. They will be repaired or replaced with copper cables, as necessary.
