On certain scooters, the primary sheave nut in the clutch could loosen and fall off over time. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it. Note: You may notice abnormal engine noises if the primary sheave nut comes loose.

Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your scooter to a dealer to replace the primary sheave nut and washer.
On certain scooters, the cylinder head nuts may not have been tightened properly and could loosen. If this happens, the cylinder head gasket can fail. This could prevent the engine from starting, or could cause the engine to stall.
