THIS ABRADING IS DUE TO THE UNDER DAMPED RIDE OF THE BOSTROM SMARTSEATS AND A TENDENCY FOR THE WEBBING TO BUNCH-UP AT THE D-RING IF THE D-RING DOES NOT SWIVEL FREELY. ABRADING OF THE SEAT BELT WEBBING CAN REDUCE ITS STRENGTH AND IN A COLLISION SITUATION INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY. CORRECTION: A STIFFER BOSTROM SMARTSEAT SHOCK ABSORBER AND DIFFERENT D-RING FASTENERS ARE BEING EVALUATED. THE SEAT BELT WEBBING WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED WHERE NECESSARY.

THE STEERING ARM USED ON THE EATON EFA-12FA FRONT AXLE MAY FAIL WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ROSS HFB-70 POWER STEERING GEARS IF TORQUE LIMITING FEATURES ARE NOT MAINTAINED. A FAILED STEERING ARM WOULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: INSTALL A NONADJUSTABLE 1500 PSI POWER STEERING PUMP PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE TO LIMIT STEERING ARM FORCES. REPLACE STEERING ARM WITH A DESIGN CAPABLE OF WITHSTANDING HIGHER FORCES. ADJUST MAXIMUM POPPET VALVE SETTINGS TO 500 PSI AND ADJUST AXLE STOPS.

DURING HIGH LOAD/HIGH TEMPERATURE OPERATION, LOSS OF LUBRICATING OIL MAY OCCUR RAPIDLY AND MAY LEAD TO FIRE FROM OIL BEING SPRAYED FROM A GASKET RUPTURE ONTO HOT EXHAUST PARTS. CORRECTION: GASKETS WILL BE REPLACED WITH IMPROVED STEEL CORE GASKETS.
