This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-395 and 2024-164. RV trailers that were repaired under those recalls also require this repair.

On certain RV trailers, the fasteners securing the cooling unit to the refrigerator may be loose or missing. As a result, the cooling unit could move and cause the propane line to crack and leak. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-302.

On a small number of RV trailers, the interior step tread may not have been attached correctly. As a result, the step tread could move or detach and cause a person to fall.
A step tread that moves could create a risk of injury.

On certain RV trailers, the grease fittings on the axles may not have been tightened properly. As a result, a fitting could separate and damage the pin that locks the axle nut in place. If the axle nut comes loose, the spindle and wheel could separate from the trailer.
A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle.
Grand Design will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the axle assembly. It will be repaired or replaced, as needed.
On certain RV trailers, the cargo-carrying capacity was not calculated with the fresh water tanks full. As a result, the trailer is labelled with the wrong cargo-carrying capacity. This could lead you to overload the trailer, which could cause poor handling or a tire failure.

On certain RV trailers, the tire and loading information label may not have been installed. As result, information about the correct tire sizes and inflation pressures is missing. Tires that are not properly inflated could lead to poor handling and/or a tire failure.

On certain RV trailers, the fabric for the patio awning may not be properly attached. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the trailer.
An awning that falls from the trailer could create a risk of injury. An awning that falls from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the fabric roll on the awning. It will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.
