On certain travel trailers, the brake wiring may rub against the tires or wheels while the vehicle is in motion. This could cause a reduction or loss of trailer braking and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. On certain travel trailers, the hinge assemblies of the rear cargo door may have been manufactured incorrectly. The weld on the hinge assembly had been ground down during manufacturing to ensure clearance when installed on a door. The grinding of the weld weakened the joint, and as a result, if the door were to be opened and the hinge assembly were to fail, the door could come down with more force than normal, increasing the risk of injury to a person standing nearby. Correction: Dealers will inspect the hinge assembly and replace as necessary.
