This recall is for certain replacement engines. The oil filter housing may not have been manufactured properly. Over time, the housing could crack and cause oil to leak onto hot components in the engine compartment.
Oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, an oil leak could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
None of the affected engines have been installed in vehicles. Land Rover will instruct dealers to replace the oil filter housing assembly before each engine is installed.

If necessary, the seat frame and associated parts will be replaced. To reduce the safety risk, Land Rover recommends watching for warning lamps on the instrument cluster. If the seat isn't properly latched, a red warning will display. If this warning stays on, Land Rover advises that you shouldn't transport a person in the left or center second-row seats until the recall repairs have been completed.
On certain vehicles, convex mirror glass was incorrectly installed on the driver's door mirror. Canadian regulations require the driver's door mirror to have flat mirror glass.
