On certain school buses, the anchor screw caps for the wheelchair restraint system may not have been installed properly. As a result, the tie-downs may not lock correctly and could detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with a Q'Straint Slide N' Click wheelchair restraint system.

Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, secure the anchor screw caps for the wheelchair restraint system. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the repairs performed at a Micro Bird dealership.
On certain electric school buses, the power steering pump could fail when starting the vehicle or while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power steering assist.
A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds, and increase the risk of a crash.
Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to update the power steering pump software.
On certain school buses, the power cable for the air conditioning control board may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the cable could loosen and overheat. Note: This recall only affects certain school buses equipped with a Spheros ceiling-mounted air conditioning system.

On certain school buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash.
A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury.
To reduce the safety risk, Micro Bird recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).
On certain school buses, the rod end fitting that attaches the door panels to the door opening gear could fail. If this happens, the door panel(s) could become loose and open unexpectedly. Note: This recall only affects school buses equipped with power-assisted doors.
A door that opens unexpectedly could increase the risk of injury.
