A coolant heater that overheats can create the risk of a fire. Excessive exhaust gas could increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury.
Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect the coolant heater, adjust it and replace any damaged components, if necessary. Prevost recommends that you should not use the heater until the recall repairs are completed.
On certain vehicles, the Vehicle Certification Label contains incorrect front and rear tire pressure rating. The correct tire pressure rating is 120 psi. Incorrect tire pressure information may lead to overinflation of tires and could affect vehicle stability, braking and traction, potentially resulting in a loss of control or increased braking distances. This could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace affected labels.

On certain vehicles, the drag link adjustment collar bolt could contact the pitman arm. As such, the drag link turnbuckle could fracture and fail. A sudden loss of steering control could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. On certain vehicles, the internal rubber check valve inside the Bendix SR-7 spring brake modulating valve can become deformed over time. The effect of this defect is intermittent and presents a potential delay or failure in applying the parking brakes; potentially resulting in a vehicle roll away. Should this occur, the unattended roll away vehicle could strike a bystander or cause property damage. Correction: Dealers will install a check valve repair kit.

On certain coaches equipped with ZF-Astronic transmissions, a cell phone placed in the proximity of the shifter touch pad could cause the display to change from R (Reverse) to 2 (second gear) should the phone receive a call. Regardless what the indicator displays, the transmission can only physically engage a forward gear if the vehicle is stopped and the brake pedal is depressed. However, should this occur, and the driver fails to realize the wrong gear is selected (Drive instead of Reverse), a vehicle crash could occur, potentially causing physical injury or death to occupants and/or bystanders. Correction: Dealers will install upgraded transmission software.

On certain motor coaches, a check valve inside the spring brake modulating valve may not properly seat causing internal air leakage. The leakage can result in delayed application of the spring brakes to park the vehicle after the operator pulls the dash valve button. The delayed parking brake application can occur without warning leading to unintended vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the brake valve.

On certain Multiplex coaches, the wiper motor thermal protection is stopping the motor when the wipers are functioning for a long time in second speed. Depending on the occurrence and weather situation, driver visibility could be reduced, which could result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will install a new wiper harness.
