On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary burner housing.

Certain motorhomes built on Ford chassis do not comply with the CMVSS requirements concerning axle loading limitations. With a full fresh water tank, the front axle will exceed chassis weight limitations. Overloading a vehicle could negatively affect its handling characteristics and may result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will relocate the fresh water tank near the rear baggage compartment.

On certain vehicles, the seatbelt mounting bolts used to secure the inside receiver buckle on the driver and passenger seats may be improperly fastened. The metric threaded bolt is secured into standard threaded seatbelt bar and when over-torqued may be stripped causing a loosened seatbelt strap and thus reducing security for the driver and passenger seat occupants. Correction: Dealer will install a 12mm nut to the bolt end and torque to 30 ft. lbs.

On certain motorhomes, 12 volt electrical wires and a vacuum line were routed behind or under the heater fan speed resistor coil pack. Heat generated by the resistor pack could melt the 12 volt wires and the vacuum line causing a fire hazard. Correction: Dealer will relocate the electrical wire and vacuum line.
