On certain RV trailers, the U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may not have been properly tightened. As a result, an axle could slide back on the leaf spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-395 and 2024-164. RV trailers that were repaired under those recalls also require this repair.

On certain RV trailers, the receiver for the removable step on the side of the trailer may not have been attached properly. As a result, the receiver could detach from the bracket and cause a person to fall.
A step that detaches could create a risk of injury.
To reduce the safety risk, Grand Design advises that you should check that the receiver for the step bracket is properly secured until the recall repairs have been completed. Grand Design will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, reattach the receiver for the removable step.
On a small number of RV trailers, the interior step tread may not have been attached correctly. As a result, the step tread could move or detach and cause a person to fall.
A step tread that moves could create a risk of injury.
